  • Bob Jordan — Lead Pastor

    The best things to know about me include: I’m a follower of Jesus. I’m passionate about the Bible. I’m slowly learning to love more fully and to trust God’s grace. I’m married to Vicky, who is my best friend. I’m Dad to two sons whom I love and respect deeply. And I get to be the Senior Pastor at Northminster Presbyterian Church.

     

    Other stuff that seems to interest some people: My Bachelor’s Degree is in Civil Engineering (UCLA). I went to Fuller Theological Seminary for my MDiv and to Gordon Conwell’s Charlotte campus for my DMin. I enjoy getting to know people and their stories, helping people find answers to questions about God, and learning about leadership. I like hiking, being in the mountains, farms, Okinawan Karate, exercising, coffee, microbrews, and brownies with a scoop of coffee ice cream. I do not like peas; they are of the dark side.

  • Donna Cady – Financial Assistant

    After working for a government agency for 26 years, little did I know that my next job was to be called to Northminster, where I've been serving since January 2005. It did seem rather fitting since I come from a family of many pastors, including both of my grandfathers.  I count it a pleasure to be able to come to a place of worship every day to serve and work alongside other followers of Christ.


    My other and most important calling is that of a wife to Ken for over 20 years and mom to our son Christopher.  We enjoy our vacations to the beach, visiting train museums and working side-by-side on our many projects and hobbies.

  • Keith Petran – Director of Operations

    As Northminster's Director of Operations, I make sure the building and grounds are maintained and things are running smoothly. My background is in customer service, sales and operations. After 12 years with Vonachen Services Inc., I began here at NPC in early 2016. But, my job at NPC is so much more than maintaining a building. It's about the people that come here to work, play, learn and worship.


    I have been in central Illinois all my life. I was raised in Chillicothe, graduated from IVC High School and Illinois Central College. During high school, I met my wife Lori and we have 2 very active girls, Abby (AJ) and Katie (Bug). Our family started attending Northminster in January of 2007 and became members in 2008. I love to cook and spend time in the kitchen with family and friends.

  • Jos Smolik – Faith Formation Pastor

    It may be true that I have the best job in the world. I get to play dodgeball, eat pizza and tell teenagers about Jesus. I also get to teach students about the God who loves them and has called them into relationship with Himself. I've been working with students for almost two decades and I'm still amazed at the way they hear the call of Jesus and discover what it means to be His follower.


    I have a Bachelor's of Journalism from the University of Missouri and a Masters in Biblical Studies and Christian Formation from Wheaton College Graduate School. But, what's most interesting about me is that I love reading, playing table-top games, beating people at Mario Kart, Diet Coke with lime, collecting funny t-shirts, science fiction, playing the guitar, complaining about cooking, Thomas and Friends, Liverpool Football, Gaga Ball, road-tripping, civil war trivia and superhero films.

  • Nathan Rodriguez - Director of Music

    I live by this simple motto: Created by the CREATOR to create. Every week I get to partner with incredible musicians and tell the greatest story ever: the story of God and His people! I'm honored to serve with great people every single week.


    I have my Bachelor's of Music and Worship with a vocal performance emphasis from Azusa Pacific University in California where I grew up! I like to play video games, produce music, and creative writing.

  • Jill Tanner - Administrative Assistant

    I grew up in Lacon, IL and I have a degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. I’ve been married to John for 18 years and we have two children, Finley (11) and Griffin (9). Both of my kids attended NLC from Curiosity Corner all the way through kindergarten. In my free time, I enjoy running, learning to play the violin and volunteering at Mossville School. I’m currently training for a triathlon sprint which will take place in August 2022.
