Rev. Jennifer Cummins - Certified Transitional Pastor/Head of Staff
Jennifer began in January of 2024. She assumes the roles of Transitional Pastor and Head of Staff. However, her primary duty is to provide the entire congregation with the vitality necessary for our congregation to flourish while preparing us for our next Called Pastor. Reverend Cummins has proven experience as a transitional pastor which follows a very successful career which included time spent as a Senior Pastor and a Pastor/Elder trainer.
Sasha Childs – Kids Ministry Coordinator
I was born in India. I grew up in Peoria, IL. When I was in 7th grade the Lord gave me a heart for children and missions. In 2002, I graduated from Peoria Christian School. Since, then the Lord has led me to be involved with missions and ministry all over the country. Here at Northminster I have the opportunity to serve the Lord with a team of people who love Jesus, love people and want to come alongside the children and families in discipleship.
I also have the opportunity to be a lunch helper and sub at Northminster Learning Center. In my free time, I love being outside going on walks, camping in a tent, sitting by a campfire doing worship.

After working for a government agency for 26 years, little did I know that my next job was to be called to Northminster, where I've been serving since January 2005. It did seem rather fitting since I come from a family of many pastors, including both of my grandfathers. I count it a pleasure to be able to come to a place of worship every day to serve and work alongside other followers of Christ.
My other and most important calling is that of a wife to Ken for over 20 years and mom to our son Christopher. We enjoy our vacations to the beach, visiting train museums and working side-by-side on our many projects and hobbies.
Emily Blumenberg – Office Assistant
I grew up in Fairview Heights, IL. I received my undergraduate degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Southwest Missouri State University, now Missouri State University. I practiced as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for over a decade assisting individuals with disabilities in various settings. I received my MBA from Webster University in St. Louis. I am a garden junkie! I love the outdoors, traveling, down time, and family time. My husband, Ben, and I have a son, Brayden and a daughter, Abigail and a spirited boxer mix, Scout. Our family stays active with visiting family, scouts, and sports.
