For us, Jesus comes first.

We have weekly programs for middle and high schoolers (6–12 grades). We play games, eat snacks, and enjoy time together. But for us, the most important thing we do is learn about Jesus and what it means to follow Him. Wherever students are on their journey of faith, we want them to experience and know the love of Jesus.

We want to meet you where you are.

You may have grown up in church, or you may have never stepped foot in the door of one; either way, you're welcome at NPC's youth ministry. Our group has students who are brand-new to the faith; students who are trying to figure out what this Jesus stuff is all about, and students who have been walking with God since they were kids. Wherever you are in that journey, we want you to know there is a place for you here at NPC.

We believe in the power of friendship.

Our ministry to students is built around a core principle:  that growing in faith happens in relationships. The "churchy" word for this is discipleship — but really, its just about building friendships with people and helping them build a friendship with God. Our programs for all age groups are designed to allow for adults to get to know students and to help them know Jesus. That's why our leaders are working on building friendships with students, not just on leading Bible Study.

Hey middle schoolers – we think you're awesome.

Sometimes middle schoolers get a bad rap – but we think they are amazing. We love their energy, fun-loving spirit and willingness to take their faith with them wherever they go. (And an occasional dose of silly never hurts.) Every Wednesday night our 6th - 8th grade students meet from 7–8:30 for large group teaching, small group discussion, games and snacks. And at 10:10am on Sunday mornings, Middle School Faith Training class is a chance for Bible study and fun. Any middle schooler is welcome any time!

High school students can lead the way.

Hey high schoolers — we know you live crazy busy lives. But we also know that you care deeply about who you are becoming and the impact that you can have in the world. We love that about you. We also can learn a lot from you as you explore who Christ is and how He impacts the way we live. That's why we meet every Sunday night from 7–9 and have a special emphasis on small group discussion that helps us apply what we've learned during our large group teaching. (We also play some awesome games and have yummy snackie-snacks). Sunday mornings at 10:10am are an opportunity to grow as well; High School Faith Training focuses on how the Bible shapes our lives.

Confirmation isn't graduation from church.

We think the most important thing about you is what you believe about Jesus. That's why our confirmation program is designed to help students decide what they believe about Him. The three-stage process begins in 8th grade and allows students to consider what it means to trust Jesus as Savior and commit to a life of following Him. Confirmation is the beginning of a life of walking with Christ, not the end of a formal church process. Students and families interested in confirmation can send us an email.

But wait, there's more.

Another way students can grow and connect is through special events that happen year-round. We have summer mission trips for middle and high schoolers, our winter retreat to a castle (it's really cool, you should come check it out) and more lock-ins and serve weekends then we can count. You can see it all on our current school year calendar.
