Public Reading of Scripture

During the season of Lent, we will read aloud - without commentary or teaching - large portions of Scripture. We will read Isaiah - a book about our need for a Savior and God's promise to send one; each of the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke,  John; and finally, Romans - a letter about how the good news of Jesus changes the world.


When we hear large portions of God's word spoken over us, we can concentrate on listening for the larger narrative and experiencing the presence of God in the proclamation of His written Word.


There are two ways to participate in the readings:


Attend Live Readings (in-person or online)

Tuesdays, Noon at NPC

March 8 - The Gospel of Matthew

March 15 - The Gospel of Mark

March 22 - The Gospel of Luke

March 29 - The Gospel of John

April 5 - The Epistle to the Romans


Watch/Listen via Youtube or Podcast

We will record the live readings, apportion them into daily readings, making them available through our Youtube channel and our Podcast. Postings of the reading of Isaiah begin Thursday, March 3rd.
