How to Get InvolvedPeople get connected to Northminster in a wide variety of ways. Many begin with worship on Sunday mornings. We also have a lot of people who discover us through children’s programs like Vacation Bible School or the Northminster Learning Center. We have people come through the youth programs or a Discovery Group. There are a lot of ways to get connected to Northminster. But how do you get more involved? There are so many ways to get involved. I would suggest new people consider the Christian Life Series. This series of courses outlines what Christians believe about God and humanity. We explore basic issues of the faith and we discover what God wants us to do. The first course is called the Followers Course, which is a basic introduction to Christianity and Northminster. The Followers Course also functions as the new members course. It is an outstanding place to begin. Another great way to get involved is through our small group ministry. Our Discovery Groups and Adult Education classes are excellent ways to meet people and get more connected. There are displays in the Centrum or you can contact Rev. Mike Shirey to get connected. We also have a number of “life-track” groups that meet. These groups are made up of people in similar situations in life such as youth (YAM), Presbyterian Women, Men’s Fellowship breakfasts, NOBBs, and so on. We realize there is a dizzying array of opportunities for people to get involved. That is why we suggest people new to Northminster between with the Christian Life Series.
