My family and I have been attending services at Northminster since June 2023. My husband, Jason, and I became Covenant Partners in April 2025. I have been involved in the Children’s Sunday School hour since the fall of 2023 as a helper and teacher. God has given me the gift of service. I find joy and purpose in helping others in any way they need. God has also gifted me with an empathetic heart.
I’ve always loved the verse Isaiah 41:10. “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse calms me and reassures me that God’s got my back. He’s my #1 fan who’s never leaving me no matter what the circumstances are.
My husband was in the Navy for almost all of our marriage. He was at sea or deployed for long stretches of time leaving me in new towns with our three boys. It was challenging having almost no support near us. This verse has hung in our living room for years and has always been the perfect reminder to me that everything was going to be ok because God was with me.
